Cast Seven Years' War semi-flat 40mm scale Prussian metal soldiers with interchangeable heads.

  • 1pc rubber mould.

  • 3pcs standard Pole.

  • 3pcs Prussian 8th Regiment Standard.

  • 2pcs PTFE rod (neck locators).

  • 1pcs colour picture.

  • 1pc casting and painting instruction.

Metal Usage per figure:

  • Standard bearer:    5

  • Officer:                5

All our bars of metals have the same volume and you will get the same amount of figures per bar regardless of type of metal.

Difficulty Levels 1 to 5:

    Casting Difficulty - 3
    Assembly Difficulty - 4
    Painting Difficulty - 3

Casting advice:

Use 4 clamps instead of two (or use more elastic bands than normal). Space the clamps on the upper and lower quarters of each side of the mould when securing the mould. Venting should only be needed if you are not using Model Metal.
When venting you may need to drill a 1.5 mm hole through the mould at certain points. On the reverse side of the mould (the plain side) where the hole comes out you can add a channel upwards if you choose to, but as long as you have placed the rough side of the support board against the mould the air should be able to escape safely.

We recommend our scalpels because you need an extremely sharp blade to properly vent a mould.

Mould 3101 casts.

  1. Officer's body 3101/1
  2. Officer's hand and sword, 3101/2
  3. Officer's head, 3101/3
  4. Standard-bearer's body, 3101/4
  5. Musketeer's head. 3101/5

Once again an excellent product from Prince August, one thing guaranteed is consistency and quality. JP

Easy and Hard - private and officer

You won't use this mold as often as the musketeers, but the figures are essential. The standard bearer, with no weapons or equipment, casts well every time. It has holds in its hands that line up when you drill through them. The officer, on the other hand, is tricky. Vent the sword tip and the end of his arm. Then use the thickest, strongest glue you can find to glue the sword hand to the arm. I put the officer in the left rear of the command stand so that the other figures can protect his sword hand from being knocked off. You might use the Prussian Garde hat (with the fancy lace) for him, or an Austrian head.

    Great Moulds

Excellent figures cast, nice clean lines, a joy to paint. First class wargaming figures for traditional wargames.

    Great range

I have not cast anything in more than twenty years and these are an amazing way to get back to it. They produce wonderful models which really cry out for painting. The modularity of this whole range is fantastic. So many ways to create different troops, just by picking the right head. I love the commitment Prince August has made to produce a range for collectors AND gamers.
