Description

With the escape from the island of Elba, Europe once again was at war with Napoleon Bonaparte. The French army rallied around him at amazing speed and in about 100 days he was ready for war. Could France's nearest enemies stand up against seasoned veterans numbering in the hundreds of thousands? Could Napoleon divide and conquer the allies, Prussia and Britain?

This mould set casts 54mm scale Infantry soldiers and officers. There are three rubber moulds in this set. You can reuse them hundreds of times as long as you keep adding metal to them. The more metal you buy the cheaper each bar gets. On average, with 54mm scale figures you should be able to cast 4 to 5 figures every two bars. You will need to glue the castings together. You can also solder the metal together if you are skilled in that technique.

Once assembled it is important to prime the metal figures before applying any acrylic paint.

This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.

Absolutely worth the money, and it isn't even expansive. I would really recommend it to beginners and veterans alike. Just wonderful!

Problem with filling thin parts of the mould

I have a problem with filling small parts of the mould, such as the sword of the infantry man with the gun. Even after venting, heating and tapping the mould and using the best metal, the part of the sword does not fill with metal. I solved the problem with using other moulds for making the sword. Tech support: You should not have problems if you use modelmetal. Test the temperature with a wooden stick like a burnt out match. Thirdly do you use a wise for clamping the mould. The air need to escape from the mould when you pour in the metal. Our clamps are flexible and opens up a micro millimeter and lets the air out. I hope this helps. If not email me some photos and we will come to the bottom of this problem.

mold is too tall for my melter

the mold is great except that it is to tall for my lee melting pot. Response: It may be possible to modify your pot by cutting the metal struts and soldering on metal extensions, thus raising the level of the pot so that it can cope with our larger moulds. Regards: Webmaster.

French Imperial Guard Infantry advancing moulds

These moulds are as good as the other of the same seiie I have used, with some problem in filling little thin parts (it is necessary to drill some hole for escape of the air). It would need also pegs of the arms a little longer (also in this case it is advisable to drill in the mould a hole in the pegs, this time of the same diameter of the pegs)
