Description

This Easter Decoration Family Craft Kit contains a huge amount of equipment to help you quickly start your hobby within minutes. The Bunny with Kitten mould allows you to cast hundreds of times.

It is a cherished tradition in Europe, especially the nothern countries, to celebrate the arrival of Easter or Springtime with decorations around your home. The most common motifs are roosters, chickens and bunnies. This mould has a baby rabbit, often called a Kit or Kitten. There are other Easter moulds available here to expand on your casting preferences.

Approximate height of the Bunny is 65mm when cast.

The metal is Model Metal, an alloy that contains Tin, Bismuth and Lead. Wash hands with soapy water after handling it before eating.

The contents of this kit include the following:

  • Rubber Mould 1909 Bunny with Kitten.
  • Casting Ladle. Add a second here.
  • Support bands (thick elastic).
  • Support boards (2).
  • Enough metal pellets to cast eight to nine figures. More Model Metal here.
  • Release agent. More available here.
  • 11 tubs of acrylic paint (3 ml each). More paint here.
  • 1 tub of primer paint (3 ml). More Primer available here.
  • 2 different types of synthetic paint brushes. One flat end for easy coverage of figure and one pointed for detail work.
  • Wooden stirrer stick (to stir the metal and test its temperature.

Useful additional tools are available here.

Casting the figures does require adult supervision unless you are over 14 years old.

Notice: Hot metal is not a toy. Never cool mould with water. Always allow at least 5 minutes for metal to cool before attempting to open mould.
