Barbarians
Useful figures for either army building or dungeon crawling. There is one shield that can be cast in the mold which can be used with either the swordsman or spearman, though both also look fine without it.
Engage your enemies with a horde of these barbarians and watch as the chaos spreads.
25mm scale rubber moulds that can cast multiple figures hundreds of times.
There are three different barbarians that you can cast and you can cast approximately 9 figures from a single ingot of metal (e.g. Model Metal ingot is 125 grams) provided you remelt the ingates between casting.
This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.

These figures can be a challenge at times to cast, but once I get it right, they come out awesome! These barbarians are a great edition the army.

Incredible detail on these miniatures. Some venting required to make them perfect. Very versatile figures that can be used both in historic and fantasy games.
When I was 14 my birthday present was a PA starter kit. I loved it; that was in 1990! My kids found the kit recently and we have had hours of fun making army's of skeleton warriors, orcs and wizards. It's the gift that just keeps on giving, and the quality is the same now as it was 26years ago. We recently discovered the PA site and were very excited to be able to increase our stock of moulds; thanks Prince August - you are fantastic
Useful as historical Saxon/Viking types (I'm using them as Goths to fight Late Romans from the Men of the City Mould (PA652) I've had no trouble casting these after venting the mould. In fact I was surprised how detailed the faces and beards were on the figures. Please make more figures like this that can be used as Fantasy and Historical types.
With this mould if you drill a small hole from where the sword goes in between the middle figures legs and then with a sharp knife vent the end of the sword to out side the mould (remember to put your boards rough side to the mould to allow air to escape)youll get a perfect figure every time, try opening up the ingate for the shield slightly and adding a few vents to the top of the mould but also down diagnlly this will round the sheild off nice.:)
I've been involved with plastic miniatures for many years and now I wish I knew about making my own metal figures all this time! Recently I purchased a small batch of 25mm scale moulds including this one. The detail in these is wonderful. I really like them. The first figure (the axeman) comes out with the very well every time. It is exceptionally clear with even the beard clearly modelled. The second one also came out very well but occasionally I did have problems with the long sword. Though in one case it was simply a matter of filing a little extra off to make it a short sword instead. Again, the details are lovely with the chain mail texture well developed. The third figure was more problematic and the reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 for this review. The back end of the spear was very hard to successfully form - Though I suppose venting may help. Additionally, the shield never seemed to be completely filled leaving a oval shape instead. I had to use the shields from PA652 instead. Maybe someone might have a technique to fix my problem?
