Prince August is pleased to present its new Seven Years' war series of semi-flat moulds. Working in close collaboration with wargamers and experts on the period, we have produced a range of moulds whose flexibility is such that many troop types and variants can now be produced.
This new system features much more detailed and accurate figures than ever before with heads, bodies and other accessories produced separately. The first three moulds (PA3101, PA3102 and PA3103) feature the Prussian infantry of Frederick the Great and these three moulds alone can produce regular infantrymen, drummers, standard-bearers, NCO’s and officers of the three main troop types; musketeers, grenadiers and fusiliers. There are also moulds for the Austrian army, Hungarian regiments in the Austrian army and Russian and French army. In addition there are Artillery moulds (PA3117, PA3118 and PA3119) that can produce Cannons and Howitzers as well as four Crewmen with interchangeable parts. In 2018 Prince August released Austrian Cuirassiers (PA3120, PA3121 and PA3122) moulds, which consisted of four riders, an officer, trumpeter, standard-bearer and trooper, and the horse.
The latest releases are four moulds in one box set that allow you to cast more cavalry, namely Dragoons. This is PA3126. Dragoons were fielded by all nations and so are extremely flexible and have a lot of interchangeable parts, including weapons, arms and heads. This set consists of three different horses with rider bodies and some accessories as well as a mould just for a wide variety of heads and arms. This was early released in May 2019 before we had the painting instructions or painted figures available but these will be made available as soon as possible.
Full assembly instructions for the various soldiers and their units are included with each mould (excluding PA3126). All these products are manufactured in Ireland by Irish workers.
