Leprechauns are fairy folk that are part of many fun tales in Ireland. Commonly seen as small as a child, often dressed as an old fashioned shoemaker, with a love of gold and rainbows, capable of granting wishes if captured and pranksters by nature. This leprechaun is antique finished by local Irish artists in Cork, Ireland. This miniature measures 72mm in height from base to top of black floppy hat. Contains "Fáilte" which means "welcome" in Irish.
Antique finishing technique involves applying a mix of black gloss paint with thinners to the metal figure, then after 5 to 10 minutes, wipe off the excess with a clean dampened cloth (with thinners) and then allow to dry and polish after 24 hours.
