Ladle for melting metals like white metals, tin, lead or solder. Not suitable for aluminium, zinc etc. Holds 53ml, diameter 63mm, depth 16mm, length of handle 180mm.
Flat bottomed which makes it suitable for electric cookers but will also do gas cookers. The ladle is magnetic, so some induction cookers will also do. Not suitable for open fires as the handle is too short.
Double spouts for right and left handed people.
Wooden handle for heat resistance.
Hold 250g of white metal or 2 ingots of Prince August casting metals.

Ladle was fine for melting the pewter.
Great the best.
Currently performs its function smoothly applying it in my kitchen ceramic vitro and quite quickly.
The handle melted before the metal so not impressed but it is a good bit of kit other wise Webmaster Response: The plastic handle is not supposed to be heated. The ladle itself is steel. We use our ladles every day in our shop and the handles work fine. The only way I can think of that would make handles melt is if you applied heat to them by leaving the handle on the heated surface of a cooker. This is not the fault of the ladle but the user. Regards, Michael
Much better than some selfmade ladles made from old spoons. Just one issue: be careful with the handle, when heating, the ladle doesn't remain in balance on the heather, as the pan is not heavy enough when only half full.
very well made sturdy good value
