This is a vulcanised black mould based on the tale of 'The Brave Tin Soldier', a famous story by Hans Christian Andersen (PDF).
Our single mould can cast the tin soldier, the dancer and the little tin heart. Ideal for a family activity, introduce your kids to the creativity and joy of casting.
Suitable for kids aged 6 + Adult supervision.
The mould allows you to produce a tin soldier with 2 legs. This is due to the fact that in the story the Brave Tin Soldier had other brothers that were made before the caster ran out of tin. To make the soldier without a full leg you need to add some putty to one leg in the mould so the metal does not fill it or use a small metal saw to cut away part of the leg.

Since the company is Ireland based and I live in New Zealand I wasn't expecting a particularity quick delivery and chose the cheapest option then set about forgetting it was on it was. In fact the order was processed and shipped the Monday after I ordered it (Sunday local time). The package arrived after only nine days and was very well wrapped. The presentation was superior and included the full text of the story associated with the figures and a full colour painting guide. The mold itself is of superior quality and is producing excellent casts regularly. The only issue I experienced was the base of the soldier not filling with the local pewter I use. This was rectified with a small vent and its now provided perfect casts every time.
