The Nativity scene is often part of many Christian homes' seasonal decorations at Christmas time. These figures can be placed into a stables of your own making. The tradition often includes a practice of incrementally adding more figures to the crib over the days leading up to Christmas day on December 25th. There is no assembly required after casting, other than place baby Jesus into his crib.
These nine Nativity rubber moulds include:
- Baby Jesus and Crib,
- Virgin Mary.
- Saint Joseph.
- Kneeling Shephard.
- Shephard with lamb.
- Shephard with Staff.
- Kneeling Wiseman.
- Wiseman with Turban.
- Stooping Wiseman.
The additional accessories are:
- Casting Ladle. This is where you hold the liquid metal when pouring it into the mould.
- 2 Metal Clamps. These hold the mould and support boards together.
- 2 Support Boards. These sandwich the rubber mould and spread the pressure of the clamps.
- 5x '5 star' (pewter) metal ingots (about 420 grams)
- Small pot of release agent. This coats the surface of the mould to allow air to escape and stop the metal from sticking to the mould.
- Model Paint Brush.
- 10 Quality Paint pots + pot of primer. Approximately 3 milliliters per pot.
- Painting and Casting instructions.
- Large Sturdy Cardboard Case. This helps you organise and protect your moulds and accessories.
- Wooden metal stirrer.
'5 Star' metal is classed as pewter and it is mostly Tin with a little zinc and antimony in it.
