In the gospel of Luke the story of the shepherds is as follows: During the birth of Jesus, there were shepherds in Judea tending their flocks, when suddenly an angel appeared in front of them and declared that their Messiah had been born in nearby Bethlehem. They were shocked by decided to travel there and give praise for this amazing event. Mary and Joseph were staying in a stables and the Shepherds found them by following a star in the heavens that moved until it rested over where Jesus was.
This mould is one of three that allow you to cast a young shepherd, holding a gift of a young lamb, also a symbol for Jesus. As you can make many of these figures from this single mould, there is an opportunity to make multiple sets so you can give them out to other Christian friends and family during the festive season. You can find casting accessories here. You should be able to cast about two figures from a single ingot of metal.
This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.
