Description

Cast and paint this Halloween decoration to use as thoughtful gifts to friends, family and work colleagues. This mould casts one type of decoration, in this case, a petrifying pumpkin.

A jack-o'-lantern is a carved pumpkin, associated chiefly with the holiday of Halloween, and was named after the phenomenon of strange light flickering over peat bogs, called will-o'-the-wisp or jack-o'-lantern. In a jack-o'-lantern, the top is cut off to form a lid, and the inside flesh then scooped out; an image, usually a monstrous face, is carved out of the pumpkin's rind to expose the hollow interior. To create the lantern effect, a light source is placed within before the lid is closed.

This mould requires our largest support boards and the decoration measures approximately 54 x 50mm and has identical details on both sides.

This is a seasonal product, available from August to November only.

Model Metal is perfect for this mould and no venting should be required. Each piece should weigh about 50grams, so you should be able to cast 2 and almost a half figures per bar (excluding ingates).

    Lovely mould, casts very well.

Probably the best of the single cast Halloween molds in my opinion. It casts very easily and uses surprisingly little metal so you can make lots of them. Only complaint would be there is a face on both sides which can be a good thing as the faces are slightly different but it would have been nice to have a faceless back.
