Description

Firing from the back of a fast moving horse is not an easy skill to learn, and not just for the rider, but the horse must also receive training to accept extremely sudden loud noises close to his / her head.
Using a gun while unmounted is far easier both in aiming and reloading. On horseback this becomes orders of magnitude more dangerous and difficult. Yet with practice and patience, both horse and rider can become accustomed to this difficult task, allowing for a degree of accuracy, at least in relatively close range.

This Native American is firing from horseback, probably in hot pursuit of an enemy. This is a semi-flat figure in 40mm scale. Originally it was hand carved from wood by Holger Eriksson, a Prince August sculptor of great renown in the 60's and 70's.

When casting it is always advisable to use low temperature casting metal so to maximise the life of the black rubber moulds. Ideally you should be able to cast hundreds of figures from a single mould.

This figure requires no assembly after casting so it is a useful mould for children to learn the hobby. When buying this mould, you should also include metal and, if not already owned, one of our accessory packs.

This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.
