Description

This is a 40mm scale black rubber mould that can cast an Olympic Runner. This mould was designed to celebrate the 1972 Olympics in Munich. The fastest man at this event for the 100 metres and 200 metres was Valeriy Borzov from the Soviet Union, whose victory was a shock to the Americans as they normally were the fastest. Robert Taylor and Larry Black (Americans) won silver respectively at these races.

The sculptor responsible for this beautifully carved miniature is the famous miniature designer of the 60's and 70's, Holger Eriksson. He was known for his anatomical correctness and lightness of touch when he hand carved his miniatures from wood.

It is advisable to stock up on Model Metal when you purchase this mould, to allow you to have plenty of raw materials to cast from. Each ingot of metal can cast up to 5 miniatures. If you have not cast before then we recommend you also purchase our Kit 2000 accessory pack as it contains a casting ladle, release agents and support boards.
