Napoleon Bonaparte was famously called the conqueror of the world, as he waged war with his French armies with many of the major nations in Europe in the beginning of the 19th Century. However after his return from exile, he faced many very strong enemies, the two closest was Prussia and the Allied British army. He wanted to prevent those armies joining forces and lauched a lightening strike to defeat each in turn and set back any resistance for years. Such a strong victory might also make his other enemies, Austria and Russia, pause and seek peace. Despite his initial victory over Prussia at the Battle of Ligny, and the stalemate at Quatre-Bras against the Allied British army, he could not break either and they finally united at the Battle of Waterloo on June 18th and finished Napoleon's chances of a French victory.
Prince August has lovingly hand crafted in 25mm scale Napoleon on horseback to compliment their Battle of Waterloo mould range. We provide three options to choose from, primed, painted or antique finished.
Primed is the default choice and this allows you to paint the figure without that paint flaking off. The rider and horse are not glued together to give you easy access to paint both before assembly.
Antique finish is a mix of black gloss paint and white spirit, applied carefully by our in-house artist to bring out all the fine details on the figure and keep it from dulling over time.
The hand painted option helps enhance the figures realism, painted by our in-house artist with acrylics and finished with a matte varnish.
