PA553 ARTHUR WELLESLEY 1ST DUKE OF WELLINGTON 25MM METAL FIGURE
Excellent model, superb detail
The 1st Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesley, lead the allied army of Britain, Netherlands (Dutch) and Belgium forces against Napoleon's French forces during the final battles in 1815. During the Battle of Waterloo on June 18th, Wellington displayed his amazing defensive ability and skilled leadership by withstanding for most of the day the onslaught of the Imperial forces, as he waited for the Prussians to arrive to swing the battle in his favour. He admitted that the battle was a "very close run" thing and victory was never certain until the last moments when the French army finally broke and fled in the evening.
Prince August has lovingly hand crafted in 25mm scale the Duke on horseback to compliment their Battle of Waterloo mould range. We provide three options to choose from, primed, painted or antique finished.
Primed is the default choice and is required to allow you to paint the figure yourself at home. This initial layer coats the metal surface and allows the next layers of paint to have better grip and not flake off.
Antique finish is a mix of black gloss paint and white spirit, that enhances the metal figures details and protects the surface so it remains shiny. This is done by hand by our experienced in-house artist.
The hand painted option is also produced in-house by our artist, and the paint is acrylic with a matte varnish finish. The base has been decorated with an artificial green grass to enhance its realism.
This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.
