suprb figure of Blucher and his horse
a really nice figure of Blucher and his horse
Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher lead the Prussian army against the Imperial forces of France twice during the final battles in June 1815. During the Battle of Ligny, Blücher personally lead a cavalry charge, despite being in his 70's, was unhorsed and was ridden over several times while awaiting rescue. Despite that event and minor injuries, he still rallied the defeated Prussians and lead them successfully against Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo a few days later. He was nicknamed affectionately as 'Marshal Forwards' due to his aggressive style of warfare. He is one of two of the highest decorated Prussian-German officers in history.
Prince August has lovingly hand crafted in 25mm scale Blücher on horseback to compliment their Battle of Waterloo mould range. We provide three options to choose from, primed, painted or antique finished.
Primed is the default choice, however the rider and horse are not glued or cast as one piece, to allow the painter an easier time in painting both before final assembly.
Antique finish is a mix of black gloss paint and white spirit, which is great at adding extra contrast to the metal figure and helping to prevent any tarnish over time.
The hand painted option is historically researched and done in-house. The paint is acrylic and the finish is a matte varnish.
