These are two 28mm scale metal 1st Century Roman Officers, a Legate with horse and a Aquilifer. You cannot buy moulds for these figures. You can cast Legionaries from our moulds.
The role of Legate was as the ultimate commander of an entire Legion of approximately 5500 legionaries. He would be a trusted senator personally appointed by the emperor himself. The Aquilifer or Eagle-bearer was an incredibly important task and even considered sacred. To lose an eagle standard to the enemy was considered the most shameful event that could occur as it embodied the honor of the entire legion.
The 1st Century Roman Legionaries wore segmented armour and were divided up in their Legions into incrementally smaller units, from Cohort (500) to Centuries (80) and down as small as groups of 8 men.
