This is one of the 80-1 54mm Napoleonic moulds. There are some ranges that allow you to customise the body of the figure in different ways, including using different heads. To make a hole in the metal body when casting it in Prince August moulds, we provide a plastic tube called an O-ring or Core. This is placed in the neck of the figure and when the metal fills the mould the o-ring will prevent the body from being completely solid. Once cool, the o-ring is removed, leaving a channel in the neck that you can insert the head peg. It is very easy to do. The Seven Years War series of 40mm moulds also has smaller o-rings or cores so this tutorial is useful for multiple ranges.
