Cast Seven Years' War semi-flat 40mm scale Dragoons, with three different horses and many different heads, arms and accessories. Includes 3 PTFE rods and 2 brass poles for the standard bearer flag to be attached.
Similar to the previous release of the Austrian Cavalry, take care to heat the metal properly and tap the mould either while pouring, if you are dexterous enough, or immediately afterwards, to help remove air pockets. Vent the moulds only after testing.
We recommend our scalpels because you need an extremely sharp blade to properly vent a mould.

Due to the nature of Dragoons, all nations found them useful so the many heads allow for a wide array of customisation for the different nations they can be part of.

While the design of the horses of the trooper and the officer is acceptable, the design of the horse of the drummer is poor and the front legs far away from a natural pose.
As usual an excellent product capable of producing very fine castings - The 40mm range are all very finely modeled. JP

Long awaited addition to range easy to cast with lots of options
I was disappointed to notice that there were no grooves or holes or the like to facilitate attaching heads and arms. Also the drilling of metal is too much for a cozy hobby work and needs special tools. Response from Prince August: The heads have neck holes to fit into, provided you use the PTFE rods correctly when casting. The arms are easy to attach and just require a little glue to hold them in place. A small drill is needed to make the hole for the flagpole but that is very easy and straightforward. We supply a suitable manual drill if you don't have a drill already.
